José - 12 Weeks

As many of you know I have a very big spot in my heart for golden retrievers.  My love of goldens started with Sunshine, my childhood dog.  She was beautiful, loving, and lazy.  When it was time for me to get my own dog I was drawn to the breed once again.  Their easy disposition makes training a little simpler than some breeds and I wanted to be sure that my first dog was a good one!  When searching for breeders I was referred to Barbara of Charis Registered Golden Retrievers, who is known for her commitment to breeding healthy (and oh so adorable!) dogs.  My boy Sebastian has been an absolute joy.  A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph another one of Barbara’s dogs - José.  He was just 12 weeks old when he came to the studio.  He was a little tired from puppy class the night before, but he was so exited to play with Angus that we got some fabulous shots of him.

Sugarfoot and Bobby

As promised, here are some more photographs of Sugarfoot and Bobby, my first pony subjects.  Bobby was a bit nervous at first - he didn’t quite know what to make of his stable being turned into a photo studio!  Sugarfoot on the other hand couldn’t get enough of the camera (or maybe it was his apple and carrot snacks).  Bobby perked up when he saw all the attention that Sugarfoot was getting and we ended up with some great portraits of both of these gorgeous animals.  For behind the scenes shots check out my previous Pony Preview post.

Cleo

Look how time flies -  it’s been over a month since my last blog post!  Time for a little catching up…  Here are portraits of adorable Cleo, a Schnauzer Poodle cross.  This dog was a little nervous at first, but she ended up being an absolute star.  Way to go Cleo!
